DRAGON BOATING
Looking for a fun and low-impact sport to try? Dragon boating is a fast-growing water sport; we are proud to be the first to introduce it to Vancouver. It is simple to learn and difficult to master. No experience is required.
After a quick land lesson, participants will don life jackets, grab their paddles and climb aboard.
We provide everything you need; please come dressed to be on the water and bring a water bottle.
We have a friendly group of paddlers who all started out just like you-they just showed up! For more information, practice times, or group activities go to https://www.meetup.com/VLCDBP/
JOIN A TEAM
CATCH-22 DRAGON BOAT TEAM
Vancouver Lake Rowing Club is home to the Catch-22 dragon boat team. We are a mixed team with paddling and racing opportunities for men and women. Practices are offered three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Annual dues are $250 payable at the start of the season.
There are monthly opportunities for those who would like to give the sport a try and join the team. Annual dues are prorated for new members who join mid-season. Sign up for a new paddler recruitment event using Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/VLCDBP/
CATCH-22 DRAGON BOAT TEAM BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS
Catch-22 has a special division for Breast Cancer Survivors. This group is part of the regular Catch-22 roster, but also participates in special events and activities. Many race festivals have a special race during the competition just for survivors. If you would like more information about the BCS program please email Catch22bcs@gmail.com
